MEET ALI SEA,
FOUNDER OF SEA SOCIAL WORK

My mission is simple:
That everyone I work with feels heard, valued, and empowered to live fulfilling lives.
PEOPLE MATTER
I believe in unconditional positive regard and treating people as humans.

Every individual I support has intrinsic value and the potential to contribute positively to society – which is why I listen closely, advocate fiercely, and amplify their voices and perspectives.

By prioritising trust and connection, we overcome communication barriers and find meaningful solutions together.
Being an Independent Social Worker is more than just a job for me. I see people as individuals, not cases, and that means thinking outside the box to engage them, because building trust leads to positive outcomes – but you’ve got to earn that trust!
My non-judgemental, relaxed approach forms connection and openness – and that’s how we find solutions.
SEA SOCIAL WORK VALUES:
TRUST
EMPATHY
I believe trust is earned through action. I take time to really get to know the people I work with to make sure they feel comfortable and safe. Whether I’m working with a family, solicitor, or local authority, I keep my word and deliver exactly what’s needed, giving everyone confidence in the process and outcomes.
I’ve faced my fair share of adversity – which has contributed to my being value driven and non-judgemental in my approach – so the people I help can relate to me, which helps them open up. I uncover common ground and tune into their needs which allows me to make recommendations that reflect who they are, because their future matters.
COMPASSION
Life can be tough, so I approach every case with zero-judgement, kindness, and acceptance. Whether I’m helping someone through a major life change or working on a detailed report, my job is to make life easier for them and to make sure they have a voice in decisions affecting their future.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
My social work journey started 19 years ago, with a passion for social justice and the drive to make a positive difference to lives. Sea Social Work came from my wish to work with people in a way that aligns with my values – I always stay true to my principles and want to do better.

Encouraged by a solicitor who recognised my skills, I ventured into independent social work, giving me the freedom to offer a truly independent perspective – focused on the person rather than the constraints of large systems – and the opportunity to engage with clients and tailor my unique approach to their individual needs.
